Temporary Main Branch Closure

Main Branch Closure

August 20, 2024

To our patrons and community members:

Due to ongoing reconstruction measures resulting from recent water damage, the Main Branch of Nelson County Public Library will close to the public for an undetermined length of time beginning Saturday, August 24. The last day for curbside services at the Main Branch will be Friday, August 23, until 6 pm. Also to be held on August 23 from 10 am-5 pm will be a Book Sale in Community Room #2.

While our physical location is closed, the book drop will remain accessible to patrons to return any library materials and we will remain committed to serving our community. No overdue charges will accrue during this time.

During this closure, the following services will be available:

  • Online Resources: Our digital library, including e-books, audiobooks, movies, music and online databases, will remain accessible 24/7 at ncplky.org
  • Off Site Programs: We will continue to offer some programs, at alternate locations. Check website for more info.
  • Alternative Locations: The New Haven and Bloomfield Branches will remain open at this time with access to wifi and computers.

We understand the inconvenience this closure may cause and appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to restore our facilities. The Nelson County Public Library has always been a cornerstone of our community, and we are committed to reopening as soon as possible.

Searching for signs of spring can be soothing for mind, body, & spirit, especially after a long hard winter. By early April, signs of this season of renewal should be unfolding & echoing throughout Bernheim. Join us on a naturalist-led hike to welcome the arrival of spring ephemeral wildflowers, birdsongs, and other signs of spring. Registration required. Open to ages 18 and up. The session will be held at Bernheim Arboretum & Research Forest (2075 Clermont Rd., Clermont, KY 40110--meet below the Education Center near the Silos).

Bernheim will require program participants to wear masks when within 6 foot proximity of those not residing in the same household.
